During Your Stay – Melbourne Rehab

Replicating A Normal Living Environment for Addiction Recovery

Our Drug and Alcohol Addiction Rehabilitation Recovery Treatment Programs strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment for patients during their stay.

Fostering a Sense of Comfort and Connection during Addiction Recovery

Restoring a Sense of Normalcy in Addiction Recovery

As much as possible, the Drug and Alcohol Addiction Rehabilitation Recovery Treatment Programs attempts to replicate a normal living environment within the confines of a hospital. With the exception of the detoxification component of the program, all client meals are provided in a communal dining room where clients are also free to make tea and coffee throughout the day.

Please note, no food and/or drinks are to be brought into the facility at any time.

A varied menu is provided, and we are able to accommodate any special dietary requirements – please advise the staff on admission.

Televisions are provided in the lounge areas of the hospital only, along with daily newspapers.

Clients are expected to make their own beds each day (with the exception of detoxification clients), and linen is available as the patient’s requires.

Clients are expected to do their personal laundry. There is a laundry for clients use in the hospital.

Success Stories

Proof that recovery is possible

"MPH quite literally saved my life, but that was just the beginning. The therapeutic programme they provided gave me a rock-solid foundation for lasting recovery from my 25 years of alcoholism. It was the most deeply challenging experience of my life, I can’t lie. But I came away with a full understanding of my addiction and the underlying trauma that drove it, and a blueprint for how to heal over time. I gained a radically altered attitude to life and a heap of tools to help me maintain my sobriety in the outside world. "

Thriving in recovery from Alcohol Addiction

"After 16 years of a vicious addiction to multiple substances, I found that no matter how I tried to clean up I would slip back into the same cycle of scoring, petty crimes, court and then self detoxification all to no avail. After realising I wasn’t able to stop myself and my loving family was not either, we found Malvern Private on the internet. I arrived not knowing what to expect but I can honestly say the tools/education I received there was what I was missing in all my previous attempts and the experience of the staff. I am now clean from all drugs and can honestly say I have never been happier in myself. My confidence is growing, and I feel I can tackle any challenges life brings good and bad. "
