Benj joined Malvern Private Hospital (MPH) in 2023, as a General Practitioner and Psychotherapist. He is an advocate for whole person care, has a passion for treatment and management in mental health and working with people suffering with addiction and trauma.
Beyond Mental Health and Psychotherapy, Benj has special interest in Men’s Health, LGBTQI+ Health, HIV, Medical Education, and Health Literacy.
Benj is on the board of the Aus. Society of Psychological Medicine, a society of General Practitioners committed to whole person care, in the domain of Mental Health.
During the most recent pandemic, Benj led a team of GPs across SouthEast Melb. In the ground breaking COVID+ pathways which aimed and treated patients to ensure minimisation of hospital admissions.
Dr. Eli Kotler MBBS MPM FRANZCP Cert. Old Age Psych. AFRACMA.
Eli is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. He is the Medical Director of Malvern Private Hospital, an addiction and trauma hospital in Melbourne. Eli is the Australian Course Director for the Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies. He is also still struggling to understand himself after 5 years of therapy.
Clinically, Eli works in a psychodynamic framework, and attempts to help his patients find freedom from their addictions and trauma through relational experiences, and experiential self-awareness. He is part of the AFL Player’s Association referral network for addiction issues, and his interests in depth-psychology and neuroscience led him to establish the Melbourne Neuropsychoanalytic Group, part of the international Neuropsychoanalysis Association.
Eli has extensive research experience with novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases, and is the Principle Investigator on an upcoming MDMA-assisted therapy trial for PTSD (Emyria).
As a psychiatric trainee, Eli was awarded the Royal College of Psychiatrists Trainee Prize for his Scholarly Project on Neurodegeneration and Depression, as well as a Research Committee Trainee award for his work on Philosophy of Mind. As an adjunct lecturer at Monash University, he oversees medical students on their addiction medicine rotation. He has been invited as a keynote speaker to several conferences and meetings to discuss addictions, trauma and psychedelics. Eli sits on the Victorian Medical Panels and is an expert witness in historical abuse cases. He also sits on the inaugural Clinical Advisory Group for the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation. Eli is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, and is a member of the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs.

Andrew is a General Practitioner who has been practicing for 25 years. He divides his time practicing in General Practice and as a Mental Health Practitioner.
He has lived experience and uses his experience of this illness and recovery to inform his treatment.
He feels enormously privileged to have witnessed patients courageously undergo treatment as a residential patient at Malvern Private Hospital for many years. He believes in offering quality holistic care to patients.
He has been a clinical lead in both his own General Group Practice as well as a current clinical lead in the Healthcare Team at Headspace.
He values ongoing learning from patient interactions as well as through professional development.
He has an interest in pain medicine and addiction, having worked for a number of years in addiction medicine at the Pain Medicine Clinic at the Kingston Centre (Monash Health) and The Pain Medicine Clinic Frankston Hospital (Peninsula Health).

Ray is an Addiction Physician. He graduated from the University of Melbourne medical school in 1984; he completed his Master in Health Studies (Addiction Studies) from Queensland University 2003, Fellowship of Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine in 2004, and Master of Philosophy from Monash University in 2014.
He has been a DACAS (Drugs and Alcohol Clinical Advisory Services) consultant since 2007. His previous clinical appointments include his position as the Medical Officer at Turning Point Alcohol and Other Drugs Services, and St. Vincent’s Drug & Alcohol Department in Melbourne.
He has an interest in pain medicine and addiction, having worked for a number of years in addiction medicine at Monash Health and Peninsula Health.
Dr. Carmen Yeung
Psychiatrist
Carmen is a psychiatrist with broad experience in both public and private health sectors, particularly in management of mood and personality disorders and working with individuals with emotional difficulties related to trauma.
She is an experienced youth and adult psychiatrist, who also provides an outreach clinic supporting GP’s and individuals in regional Australia who would otherwise be unable to access specialist care. She has interest and expertise in occupational and insurance psychiatry, providing assistance with return to work for individuals recovering from mental illness. Through all her work experiences, she has encountered and treated many people with addictions.
Carmen takes a holistic and collaborative approach to management, recognising the different attributes of each individual and how this may impact on their experience, treatment and recovery from illness.
Dr Gilad Korman
Psychiatrist
Gil is a psychiatrist with experience in both public and private mental health settings. He has undertaken additional training in addiction psychiatry and interpersonal group psychotherapy. He is involved in psychedelic-assisted therapy research across various sites including St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Swinburne University.
